Manufacturer's warranty conditions

Thank you for choosing a LUMIÈRE Design product! We want you to enjoy your lamp for a long time. That's why we offer a manufacturer's warranty on electronic components such as LEDs, transformers, and drivers.

§ 1 Scope of guarantee

The manufacturer's warranty applies exclusively to the electronic components of the products:

  • LEDs
  • Transformers
  • driver

Other components, such as housings, glass covers, switches, or mechanical parts, are excluded from the warranty. The extended manufacturer's warranty applies exclusively to private individuals (consumers as defined by Section 13 of the German Civil Code). Commercial buyers (entrepreneurs as defined by Section 14 of the German Civil Code) are excluded from the extended manufacturer's warranty. They are subject exclusively to statutory warranty rights.

§ 2 Warranty period according to product category

The duration of the manufacturer’s warranty depends on the respective product category:

  • Pendant lights: 5 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Floor lamps: 5 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Table lamps: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Battery-powered table lamps: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Battery floor lamps: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Replaceable bulbs with base: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Ceiling lights: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)
  • Other items: 2 years (since February 1, 2023)

Exception for DALI-2 DT8 luminaires

For luminaires equipped with a DALI-2 DT8 driver (Tunable White), a warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase applies, in deviation from the standard regulation.

This regulation only applies to luminaires with integrated DALI-DT8 control technology and is marked accordingly on the respective product page.

The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt, as it is required as proof of warranty.

§ 3 Warranty exclusion for B-goods

No manufacturer's warranty is provided for B-stock products that are labeled as used, with cosmetic or technical defects, or as demonstration items. Your statutory rights, in particular warranty rights under applicable statutory provisions, remain unaffected.

§ 4 What is excluded from the guarantee?

The guarantee does not apply to:

  • Damage caused by improper use, improper installation or modifications to the product.
  • Damage caused by external influences such as water, fire, overvoltage or other environmental influences.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Products that have been repaired or modified without our consent.

§ 5 Loss of warranty in the event of structural changes

The manufacturer's warranty is void if structural modifications are made to the lamp or its electronic components. This includes, in particular:

  • Shortening, extending or replacing cables,
  • Removing, replacing or modifying electronic components such as LEDs, transformers or drivers,
  • The independent opening, modification or adaptation of housings or circuits.

Such modifications may affect the safety, functionality and lifespan of the product and are therefore not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

This provision does not affect your statutory warranty rights under applicable law.

§ 6 How do you claim the guarantee?

If you experience a problem with any of the electronic components mentioned, please report it via our portal . We require the following from you:

  • A brief description of the defect.
  • Photos of the product and the defect, if possible.

We will review your request and decide whether to repair, replace, or refund your item.

§ 6a Assembly and shipping costs

The manufacturer's warranty only covers electronic components (LEDs, transformers, drivers). Costs for disassembly, packaging, shipping, reassembly, or other assembly work are not covered, even in the event of a warranty claim . Such services must be performed independently by the customer or arranged for through a service provider at their own expense.

§ 7 Your statutory rights

This manufacturer's warranty supplements and does not limit your statutory rights.
